Physics REU

You are invited to attend  the mid-term banquet on July 10th, 1998, hosted by the Physics REU program.

The following are tentative details of this banquet:

Location - LHAS Auditorium, 7th floor Montefiore Hospital

Time - 6:30 or 7:00 PM

Cost - $10.00 -- $12.00 per person

The speaker will be Larry Gladney, APS Edward Bouchet Prize winner, a high energy physicist who has worked at FNAL in the experiment which found the top quark.

Also,

On July 23rd, Dr. Borguet is speaking at the Physics REU weekly seminar.  Most likely, the topic of the talk will be dealing with the work he has done with interfaces.  The talk will be held in Allen Hall, room 106 at noon.

This is a good experience to meet the Physics REU participants as well as enjoy a pizza lunch.
