The Chemistry Department supports a robust seminar program that brings in eminent scientists from around the world to present their current work. The normal Chemistry seminar "day" is Thursday afternoon, with two "slots", a 2:30 pm seminar and a 4:00 pm seminar. Not all slots are used and many seminars are scheduled at other times and other days, including some in the evening.

To receive weekly reminders of upcoming seminars in the Chemistry department, visit the Chemistry seminars web page and use the subscribe button at the top of the page to add your email address to our seminar distribution list (use the same site to unsubscribe as well).

The Chemistry Department receptionist handles all scheduling for the speaker's visit. If you are interested in an opportunity to have a brief visit with a seminar speaker please contact Barb Svitek and she will arrange a time for you if it is possible.

There are dozens of seminars in any one week, within a 15 minute walk of the Chemistry Department. Links to seminar series that are popular to chemistry department personnel, but that are external to our Department, are on the other Seminars web pages on this site.
