Website Search
To get more specific search results, try using the following tips:
- Check spelling
- Use multiple words
Using multiple terms will return more refined results than single terms.
Example: graduate application forms
- Use similar words
The more similar words you use in a search, the more relevant your results will be.
Example: spectroscopy spectrum spectra spectrometer
- Use quotation marks
Use quotation marks to find words which must appear adjacent to each other
Example: "NMR Spectroscopy"
- Use plus (+) or minus (-)
Phrases proceeded by a plus (+) must be present in the results. Phrases proceeded by a minus (-) must not be present in the results.
Note: The phrase must be enclosed in quotation marks and there must be no space between the plus or minus sign and the term.
Example: +"research" -"undergraduate"
- Use wildcards
The * character is used as the wildcard character. For instance, searching for bio* will find the words biological, biology, bioscience, biomaterials, and any other word that starts with bio.
Example: bio*
